Volunteering as a NASA test subject is just one of those things that you try out for just to see if you will be able to make it, kind of like trying out for American Idol or Survivor (I did the latter as well). I am currently in great shape, but I just don't know what their qualifications are going to be through the physical tomorrow. Speaking of a physical, I'm not looking forward to that. I think that most men are not fond of going to doctors, maybe women feel the same way too. I think it is the blaring forced comfort level you must maintain while exposing yourself to someone you really do not know. Yeah, I think that's pretty much it.
Aside from the goofiness that comes from being uncomfortable with a complete stranger, I am excited to begin some crazy test for our future astronauts. Don't think I'm going to quickly volunteer for the NASA urine recycling water recovery system (WRS). Here's a funny video of one such guy who didn't seem to enjoy his job after the first sip.
Maybe I should reconsider what I'm getting myself into...
